One 11” 35 MN aluminium extrusion press, produced by Wellman in 1969

Originally made as a 35 MN press, but is now running at 37,1 MN maximum with possibility up to 38,0 MN maximum. Refurbished in 2008

Billet handling:

Automatic log storage with billet saw, two piece welding (friction stir) and chip compactor. Capacity ca. 600 t with 272 mm billet. Delivered by IUT in 1999. Two induction billet heaters in series

Die oven delivered by IUT in 2010. Automatic handling of dies with 4 buffer positions. Electrical heated with 8 chambers each with 2 positions for dies up to 590 mm diameter.

Profile quench delivered by ILM Smith in 1999.

Ageing:

There are 2 electrically heated ageing ovens with floor transport. One smaller for 4 skips, each 14 m long,. One larger oven for 6 skips up to 16,2 m long,
